This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountant to join an amazing manufacturing business with big growth plansThis is a newly created role within the organisation and will be responsible for the day to day running of the accounts department Duties will include:Oversee all company accounts and investments.Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicingEnsure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reportedEstablish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislationCollaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulationsDevelop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and datareportsReview all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunitiesExamine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepanciesCreate systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculationsReport to the Group Financial Controller with timely and accurate financial informationAssist the Group Financial Controller in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.A successful Finance Controller should have:Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA or qualified by experience (QBE with relevant experience) Excellent cash management experienceProficient understanding of accounting and financial management principlesStrong leadership/ management experienceExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGood communication and presentation skillsProject accounting experience would be desirable Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be desirable
