Financial Controller / Finance Manager

This is a newly created Financial Controller role which would be ideally suited to a strong, all round accountant looking to take a first or possibly second step from an accountancy firm.You will be involved in the preparation of the monthly management accounts, providing insight and analysis on trends and comparisons to previous year / period.Additionally you will be involved in the year end process, financial accounts and financial reporting, proving to be a key ally to the Finance Director.Ultimately you will aim to oversee the month-end process, improve systems, processes and procedures, and support the finance director on strategic projectsThe ideal candidate for this financial Controller should have:A formal accountancy qualification - ACA, ACCA most likely (although relevant qualified by experience candidates will be considered)Ideally trained in a practice environment with range of clients including some which are operational service providers, but this is not essential.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Strong excel skills and the ability to use multiple systemsThe ability to mentor and develop team membersWilling to work on site 5 days per week
