The role requires someone who has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and has good organisational and administrative skills. At the centre of everything that goes on in school, duties will be varied, including: assisting the Head with the registration process; overseeing financial matters; supporting colleagues and parents; and being the first point of call for all visitors. Good personal presentation, a friendly disposition and a willingness to participate in school life are considered important qualities for this position. This role will involve contact with, and responsibility for, children and will amount to ‘regulated activity’. Previous school experience is desirable, but not essential. The candidate must have excellent written English and strong secretarial and computer skills. The salary will be circa £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a lunch allowance. The role is initially for a fixed term until July 2024 to cover staff maternity leave but this could be extended to the end of autumn term 2024. The role will be term time and staff INSET days plus an additional 15 days per year during the holidays. The closing date for completed applications is 9am on Monday 23rd October 2023, although early applications are encouraged. Interviews will take place shortly after the closing date.
