As a European Road Freight Operator you will report in to the Freight Supervisor, in Derbyshire, on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility:Preparing road freight pricing & customer quotations - Informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goodsOrganising transport through third party transit means - such as full loads, part loads, courier and dedicated transport.Providing valid insurance for the vehicles - trucks and trailersProviding appropriate transportation means with adequate load capacityHandling customs entries and arranging billings for VAT/DutiesEnsuring, booking and conducting customs clearance.The successful candidate will have an expansive background in the freight forwarding industry with a bias towards either road freight. The ideal European Road Freight Operator will have the following skills and experience:2+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either road or air freightExperience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across road, air & sea freight.Desirable experience of customs complianceExcellent customer service experienceKnowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous Commutable to Derby and Derbyshire

As a Air Freight & Shipping Graduate you will be joining a team of 5x Shipping & Logistics Analysts, reporting into the Shipping & Freight Supervisor. You will be responsible for the following areas in the Derbyshire office:Coordinating commercial and reservation activity on behalf of partner airlines and transport providers across the full suite of products.Key focus area will be our airlines speciality products including Temperature Control, Dangerous Goods and Express.Ensure timely responses on all commercial activity to both clients and airlines.Proactive follow up on all opportunities across our airline portfolio to secure bookings at optimum yield.Positive interfacing with customers, airlines, colleagues and management.To collect all export shipping documentation (Airway bill, Commercial Invoices, Customs Documents, Proof of Delivery) from Freight Forwarders and Customer Service teams on a daily basis to UK Customs Requirements.
